Osteopath
As an experienced sportswoman and with a background as a personal trainer, Jess can relate to the physical demands we place on our bodies. Jess holds a specific interest in using exercise and simple lifestyle advice as rehabilitation tools for postural issues, chronic pain, sporting injuries and repetitive strain injuries.
Jess uses Osteopathy to restore balance in the musculoskeletal system, and minimise the stress that can accelerate degeneration, promote inflammation that can result in pain and discomfort. Jess uses predominately massage, gentle manipulation and stretching to free restricted joints and release tight muscles, assisting the body to return to its most efficient state, minimising stress on cartilage, joints, ligaments and muscles in order to maximise the capacity of your body and accelerate the results of your physical exercise and training.
Jess’ aim is to (where possible) keep you in your training, work or your sport during your management, which can include guidance on how to modify your exercise sessions or work tasks to keep you doing what you love to do, in addition to enhancing your healing.
Jess ensures you fully understand your condition and can educate you on simple and effective management and preventative strategies that you can easily implement into your lifestyle in your home or workplace.
Jess is a university trained, government registered Osteopath and a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association, and is also registered with Medicare, Work Cover Queensland and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
